The cake was two tiers of the petal shaped pans. The 15" layer was Almond with Raspberry Compote and the 8" layer was Chocolate with Raspberry Compote.
The peony is pale pink with darker pink ribbons (all made out of gumpaste. ) The banner is fondant and I used dried sugarveil to texturize the edges. Sugarveil was used to create the lace on the sides of each tier. A simple shell border finished off the top and bottom edges.
