Fifty years



I often make flowers and cake items when I don't have any order and then use them when a short turn-a-round cake is ordered. The roses on the top of this cake are one of those items.  They were created in white gumpaste, and dusted in old gold petal dust.

The lace was done in Sugarveil and also dusted in old gold petal dust. 

The bottom tier is a 10" Carrot cake with cream cheese filling and the 6" top tier is pumpkin with pumpkin mousses.   Gold dragees of 8mm and 6mm were added at the edge of the sugar lace.
